| Riva Scoiattolo
(1950 - 1957)
The Scoiattolo (Italian for squirrel)
entered production in 1951 as the AV 43. It was given
its distinctive name from 1953, a reflection of its
agility and small size. Its length ranged from 4.1 to
4.3 metres, a size best suited to lake cruising. It
is the only post-war Riva boat that is powered by an
outboard engine, and was available in two finishes:
white or transparent. 137 boats were built in total.
